3 Cheers for British Healthcare

notthatkindagay:

sds:

Thousands of women are having to give birth outside maternity wards because of a lack of midwives and hospital beds.

The lives of mothers and babies are being put at risk as births in locations ranging from lifts to toilets - even a caravan - went up 15 per cent last year to almost 4,000.

Health chiefs admit a lack of maternity beds is partly to blame for the crisis, with hundreds of women in labour being turned away from hospitals because they are full.

Mail Online

I’m so glad there’s nothing resembling the British National Health Service in the current health reform proposals under consideration in Congress.

and let’s not forget that the Daily Mail is a respectable, totally not hysterical publication. they also really love women and probably have our best interests at heart when they report on why we get so damn cunty!

I know that’s not what this is about but come on, the Daily Mail has an agenda and using this article as an example of why the NHS sucks is a little disingenuous
