Hey fancy people (looking at you, mar-see-ah and blacknblueland), is this dress appropriate for a thing at the Kennedy Center? I will obviously wear tights and possibly boots (probably not heels? maybe flats instead of boots) and a sweater or something over it. Not sure if it’s too dressy, not dressy enough, or too summery. It is from Banana Republic and I have worn it exactly once, two years ago, to a cocktail party fundraiser thing for my old job.

  4. mar-see-ah said: I think it is lovely for that exact purpose. These sorts of places you see all sorts of different attires, the important thing is that you look neat and pulled together and in this, you will! It’s hot!

  6. pterodactyls said: People wear the full spectrum of fancy to the KC. There will be folks in diamonds and folks in jeans. You look cute on that dress so I’m giving a thumbs up but honestly it doesn’t matter.
