Dangerous abortions 'on the rise', says WHO

The World Health Organization study suggests global abortion rates are steady, at 28 per 1,000 women a year.

However, the proportion of the total carried out without trained clinical help rose from 44% in 1995 to 49% in 2008.

HEY NO SHIT. Because when you restrict access to abortions, you are not eliminating abortions. You are making them unsafe for women.

And the fun thing is, as Pennsylvania has proven, illegal abortions can help get legal ones shut down, driving more people to illegal abortions!

I heard this report on the radio this morning in which a male reporter talked to a male researcher about abortion and I am pretty sure that whenever two dudes talk about women’s health without actually including female voices in the conversation, a fetus loses its wings.
